Remember that year when Mike didn't criticize Ben Simmons in any way, shape or form? Will be a chapter in the book, for sure.
Mike wrote a single-camera comedy with his partner Patrick based on Ben Simmons and his family, in partnership with LeBron's Springhill Entertainment (and Ben and his family). It was called Brotherly Love, and NBC ordered a script.
A script was all NBC would order though, as the show didn't get picked up. "Not even close," Mike went on to say on yesterday's podcast. But now you can own the script. All for a couple of good causes!
Starting June 25th, you'll be able to preorder a digital version of the script for $5, which will come with custom artwork from our own Abbie Huertas. It will be on sale for just one week, and delivered shortly after.
All of the money will go to Coded By Kids, who seek racial and gender equity in tech by mentoring kids at a young age, and to the Providence Animal Center, who is a no-kill animal shelter in Delaware County, who has been hit hard by Covid-19, and needs funds to keep people employed who have dedicated themselves to the lifesaving mission for animals.
Even better news is that our great sponsor, Touchstone Electric Fireplaces, is going to match all donations. So the funds we raise will double. Thank you Touchstone!
Speaking of Touchstone Electric Fireplaces, they look amazing, are easy to install, have no cleanup like a regular fireplace and you end up with zero dead birds to clean up in the chimney. There is a serious sale going on right now on the electric fireplaces (refurbished with a full warranty, even cheaper) and the TV lift cabinets. Just take a look at zerodeadbirds.com, and use code TTP for 15% off.
You can now watch the Ricky on YouTube. See Mike early in the morning with sirens behind him. See Spike unshowered after running. All this while listening to him talk. I can see why Spike wanted to do it?
Here is the audio, normal version of the podcast, in which Spike has a pretty surprising take on the Sixers coach situation, and the guys rally against the Pro Bowlers Association, who screwed Bill O'Neill.Â
Trades! Trades! When SixersAdam isn't searching for cantaloupe, he's coming up with Sixers trades. This time he's got one for every team in the Central Division, including a Kevin Love trade.
We are proud to help support the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (thanks Providence Animal Center for the connect!). To help support women who have been recently diagnosed with a Friends Like Me package and to learn more, go here. If you'd like to request one for you or a loved one, go here.
Reminder!
We've got a new album for the Carl Landry Record Club, selected by our listener Nick Castagna. The album is Sheer Mag's 'A Distant Call.' Spike has already said he despises it and it's his least favorite album they've reviewed, but it's up to you really. He's full of shit.
