Get This Stuff
Many people, maybe even you, have a three day weekend coming up. That's 50% more weekend than you usually have. And chances are, you're pretty much checked out today, and just about everyone else you work with is too. In that case, we've got a couple of things for you to listen to, one thing you can buy, and we'll toss in some other stuff in case you don't feel like going to any cookouts or social gatherings once the weekend starts.
A New Pod With Amos Lee
Amos Lee has guest hosted the pod twice, joined the guys during the live pod at the Lottery Party, but had never really done a proper Ricky with both Spike and Mike... until now. Amos hopped on the pod last night just about an hour before his new album came out to talk about Markelle Fultz and anxiety issues he's faced, his fury over Josh Harris' helicopter, which Sixers would make up a Boyz II Men style singing group, the song he wrote about Sam Hinkie, and eventually devolved into his hoagie-mouthed alter-ego, Tony Toni Ta-Tone. Listen to the pod if you know what's good for you.
Ricky shorts! Ben and the folks over at Kinetic Skateboarding put together this sweet logo collaboration for a pair of Champion shorts. There are only 46 pair in existence, and $10 from every sale goes to Coded By Kids and the Providence Animal Center. They go on sale at midnight tonight (Friday) on Kinetic's website. Once they're gone, they're gone. Remember to use code DAVESILVER for 9.1% off if it's your first order with Kinetic.
Some Music To Listen To
The album Amos talked about on the pod is out today and is called My New Moon. You can tell he put a lot of love into this one. You can listen to it on Spotify or Apple Music, or even buy the vinyl version of it. Amos is about to head out for a short tour, and you can get tickets to that here.
Some Other Stuff To Click On To Kill Some Time
Here's a video of Spike's dog Rebel unmaking a bed while no one is looking. Here's where you can binge watch Mike's TV show Trial & Error so there's a third season and he can keep his job. Here's a candid photo of the Sixers new general manager. Here's where you can buy tickets to Live Ricky III and be able to see Dario and maybe sit on the stage on a Big Barker bed and watch Felicia Ricci perform a culty version of "Imagine" about the Sixers and much more. Here's where you can join the Ricky run team for Bark In The Park to help be part of the biggest run team ever. We're at 21 runners and almost at our first goal of $4,616 raised.
And finally, congrats to Ricky devotee, one of our favorite cult members, and the guy who Spike yelled at for almost the entire Lottery Party, 94WIP's Jack Fritz, on getting married to his grade school / middle school / high school sweetheart (even though she didn't agree to it until high school), Jill. Check out Jack shooting a terrible airball while everyone watched him at his wedding.
