Time To Cheer Up
We will be totally honest, when Andrew Unterberger decided he was going to write how much he still loves watching the current Sixers, flaws and all, we were not hoping to send it out to you the day after getting smoked by Andrew Sharp's favorite team. That wasn't the plan.
It seems like it's fitting it happened that way. No matter when we decided to post it, they were going to lose. It's like that thing in Bandersnatch, when [redacted to avoid spoilers].
In any case, throughout all of the fighting on the internet, hemming and hawing on 94WIP (Spike's fault), and Woj articles about the lack of harmony. AU still friggin loves watching this team. So much so that (by our count) he gave at least seven reasons why he does. Here's a taste:
And I like winning! Hard as it is to believe, it seems like winning has kinda become underrated in Philly (in the regular season, anyway). Not only are we way ahead of where we used to be at this point in the season -- even just two years ago, we only had 28 wins total, while this year we had 27 at the halfway point -- but there are 30 NBA teams and only two of them have more wins than the Philadelphia 76ers this season. That’s cool! I like it when the final buzzer sounds and we have more points than the other team and one of our guys gets to tell Serena Winters all about it. I like that there are only four teams we have to worry about in the standings, rather than, y’know, all of them. It’s a gas. I don’t even get stressed out about the 28-point leads that become five-point victories, because I remember when those were 18-point leads that became seven-point losses. This is better.

Mike Gets Pretty Mad
On the other end of the spectrum from AU last night, there is our trusted co-host, Mike Levin. Mr. "We Won, The Process Worked, We Have Three Top 25 Players, Everything Is Fine" Guy sorta lost it last night after getting blown out by the Wizards.
He was pretty mad until he and Spike started talking about Haywood Hightower and then he settled down. When they finally settled into some relationship questions about the dog sleeping in bed with you and wearing shoes in the house, he was normal Mike again. In any case, you can check out the new pod here.
Someone Adopt Roxy, A Great Dog
Roxy was in a home that didn't treat her right and feed her enough. Thankfully, our friends at Providence Animal Center got ahold of her, fed her back to health and gave her some love, and got her ready to go to her new forever home.
Roxy is about four years old, and great with kids as long as they're five years or older.
Even better news is that we're sponsoring Roxy's adoption fee, so you don't pay anything. "Free" isn't the reason to get the dog, but we know the $250 isn't always easy, so you don't have to pay it.
AND, if that's not enough, if you adopt Roxy, we'll send a Big Barker bed to your house for her to sleep on, so she can live in the luxury she deserves.
If you want to adopt Roxy, just visit Providence Animal Center in Media or give them a call at 610-566-1370, and let us know how it goes.
Do Not Watch This Video
To the left is Spike playing guitar with five (four pictured) students from the Paul Green Rock Academy. While Spike looks calm in this photo, witnesses claim he was incredibly nervous.
Spike made me title this section "don't watch this video" in hopes that you wouldn't watch it, but that's the idea of a moron.
We'd really just like to thank the Paul Green Rock Academy not only for their sponsorship of the pod, but for letting Spike play a couple of songs with the PGRA band at their Punk Rock Brunch on Saturday at Fergie's in Philly (here is the video). It's the first Saturday of every month at noon, if you'd like to check it out.
We've already got a couple of Ricky listeners taking part in Adult Band Camp, which starts in February. If you call them up and mention us, they'll give you 20% off.
Rights To Ricky Sanchez t-shirts are 19.99, available in tri-blend or 100% cotton, and high quality as f***.
Fly The Process IV is heading to Minnesota in March to visit Rock and Dario. Reserve your spot now!
