DOGS, FIRE, SKULLS
I hijacked the newsletter from Zo. Just once. Please don't send any "screw you, Ben Simmons Jimmy Butler hater, this is Zo's newsletter" emails this time. It's for charity.
Before I start, I want to let you know we'll do a pod about Brett Brown tonight. Brett was on the pod twice, a good coach, a great guy, and we're jealous he doesn't have to watch the Sixers anymore. But as I was saying...
Every year we have a team for the Providence Animal Center Bark In The Park 5K, and this year we have a team. Every year we have a shirt, this year we have a shirt. Last year we had 120 members (which is insane), and raised $15K! Let's get to $10K this year.
It's simple. Join the team right at this link, raised at least $50, and you'll get the shirt. Man, the shirt is fucking wild. I love it. This year, we'll have pickup events for the shirt, but we'll be able to mail it to you as well. Social distance and all.
The Bark In The Park is virtual this year (join the team), and on October 24th. This means you don't even have to run or walk. I'll be running that day, I'll let everyone know where I am, so we can run together (far apart) if you want.
The shirt was designed by long-time Rickyer Michael Pfeffer. Here's his website. I told him to make it crazy, he did. I did tell him "lose the pentagram with Rebel's head in it, we can skip Satan on this one." Maybe another time.Â
Thank you to LL Pavorsky and Big Barker, who are sponsoring the team and buying the shirts. Don't think they ever planned on being on a shirt like this one.
Last thing, before I go, places like Providence need us more than ever. With Covid, they can't do events, small or big, for now. This doesn't just save animals, but helps keep everyone that works at Providence employed, with a roof over their head, food on the table, and health care. It's animals AND people.
