All-Star Game came and went without a hitch, if you consider Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons' barber testing positive for Covid-19 not a hitch. Sucks our guys missed the game but as of this writing they continue to test negative and should be in line to only miss tonight's Bulls game as a tandem.
For what's about to be a whirlwind 2 months, happy and healthy takes premium over everything else!
Second Half Sixers!
What I'm looking for:
Doc's Rotation/Morey's Trigger Finger
Feel Like Doc and crew will start to trim the fat so to speak and really tighten up the rotation and give us a better feel of what a playoff lineup potentially looks like. This obviously becomes a moot point in the (very hopeful) event that the front office brings in one or two or three reinforcements, which we'll cover further down.
Ben & Jo Keeping Pace
The current clubhouse favorites for Defensive Player of the Year & MVP respectively as well as leaders of the current number one seed in the East are going to have all kinds of targets on their backs so it will be interesting to see how they handle the expectations from their coach as well as the pressure from getting each teams best shot.
Trade Deadline
We're speeding to that March 25th deadline and the rumors are mounting, while this year is a bit different with the addition of a play-in game, there will be alot less sellers than usual, probably not much less but no doubt, fringe playoff teams have already begun convincing themselves that they can make a push if they hold tight and get/stay healthy etc.
