Still not complaining! But man shit is definitely not as fun as it was when they were lovable underdogs missing their best players thanks to a pandemic, literally 6 days ago. They're still lovable, and still very much underdogs missing their best player but it would help if they were just getting blown out nightly. I think that's the most frustrating, they've actually been in all but one of the 5 straight L's. No gimme's coming up the rest of this dreadful road trip but a good opportunity to steal a few in between some heavy hitters.
All hope really isn't lost though. Tyrese Maxey, my pride of joy, and the poster child of moral wins city, continues to be a really bright spot and so far has shown all the things his teammates and coaches kept telling us they were seeing in practice (Imagine that!)Â He's young, but even he needs a break so it'll be interesting to see how Doc manages his minutes moving forward.Â
That said, the agenda lives on. Win or Loss doesn't count as long Maxey has a great game.Â
The Rest From The Best
Tyrese Maxey is very real and very awesome. Mike O'Connor is here to assure us that our eyes are not deceiving.Â
I've asked this before but feels good to get some help from my friends. Andrew Unterberger has a very sincere plea for the current underachievers to send us their good players.Â
After 617 days with their lights off and their wells dry, Stateside Vodka Bar reopens for 1 day for their 5th limited release of Stateside Black Label Bourbon. Saturday, November 20th, 11AM-5PM. 1700 N Hancock St, Philadelphia, PA 19122. They'd love if you'd come hang out. If not, that's fine, you can still buy Stateside products from (almost) any state HERE.
Charity Spotlight
Founded in 1976 in celebration of the nation's Bicentennial, the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP) is the first institution funded and built by a major municipality to preserve, interpret and exhibit the heritage of African Americans. Throughout its evolution, the museum has objectively interpreted and presented the achievements and aspirations of African Americans from pre-colonial times to the current day.
The museum not only serves as an important part of Black history in the city of Philadelphia, but also in the United States. Encourage all to read more, visit and consider supporting!
