Offseason Questions Part Deux!
Which Sixer are you most excited to see in camp/this season?
I'll give you two, most excited to see Charlie Brown Jr. in camp and most excited to see Paul Reed this season. They are two guys who need a great showing for different reasons, especially Basketball Paul who I want badly to secure the backup 5 spot. CBJ would be a very welcomed backup ball handler and deserves atleast a fair shot in training camp.
Which starter has the most to prove?
Totally unfair but the easy answer is Tobias Harris. He more than held his own in the playoffs and showed that he can compete but is also without his share of the faults for the Heat series. Given what we already expect from the rest of the crew I think it is atleast fair to hope that Tobias comes into the season already in kick ass mode.
Is there a spot for Charles Bassey on this team?
I think so! He's certainly got work to do though. He had a rough summer league and will more than likely have to beat out a veteran off the street. Also, to be honest, I'm not quite sure Doc has progressed enough to entrust two younger players with the backup center position so only time will tell.
Doc Rivers, in a recent interview mentioned that about 9 or so players have been getting together to workout this summer. Do you buy into team offseason work?
I think every minute you can spend learning your teammates and their tendencies and likes/dislikes, mannerisms etc is GREAT. I think there's so much to learn and we've seen during the season that it just is too busy to do stuff like that. I think training camp out of town will be amazing for this group and it's a terrific sign that they've already started getting work in together.
